Looks so real , Nice weight . Easy to break down to clean just like the real M&P 40 firearm . Buy two extra magazines . For real world training. Fits all M&P 40 holsters . Don’t let any other reviews stop you from purchasing the awesome Steel BB Pistol !

This is a nice piece. The weight and design are almost exactly the same as the actual M&P 40. The only way u can tell the difference is if u know your guns. For example, the finger safeties on the side aren’t like the real thing, the logo is white instead of black, and it should have the M&P logo on one side and the Smith & Wesson logo on the other side instead. Other than that, it’s a good piece to use for practicing your draw and other skills. And it even comes with extra grips and the clip holds 15 shots just like the real thing. Loading bbs does require u to have just a little bit of a fingernail to hold the spring back while loading, but it’s not too bad. The blowback action adds to how realistic it is and it even stays cocked back once it’s empty. It’s only 310 fps due to the blowback feature and it uses C02 a little faster bcuz of this feature. But overall, it’s a good gun for those who are a fan of the M&P 40 😎

This is the most realistic steel BB pistol available at this time. Definitely one to add to your collection. The only problem is that it shoots 5-6 inches low at 10 yards. This makes it unacceptable as a good target shooter, but luckily I have a fix!! First of all this gun actually has a hop up. The only steel BB gun I have ever seen with one. There is a screw on the bottom of the barrel breech and I was able to screw it in a few extra turns and could see the “hop up” moving inside the barrel. This helped a little with the gun shooting low but it was still not enough. The next step in correcting a low shooting gun is to adjust the sights. Unfortunately this gun does not have adjustable sights for elevation. You can adjust windage at the front sight but the rear has no adjustment. So like in the old days to correct a low shooting gun you start lowering the front sight by filing it down. I had to file the top of the front sight down about 0.050 inches lower. This made the top of the sight right at the top of the white dot. Used a black marker to “repaint” the bare metal and cover the white dot. It will now shoot to point of aim as good as my Umarex Colt Commander and my Cybergun Sig P226 X-Five steel BB pistols. Great fun on my backyard half scale steel challenge stages!!

Got this to practice safely at home as I own a S&W firearm. It feels good and is very much like the real thing and is great to practice with.
My biggest issue is the magazine. The mag has given me nothing but problems. The way you tighten the C02 sucks as it’s kind of hard to seat to screw in. A few times I lost an entire C02 cartridge because it didnt seal quickly. It seems that since the C02 cartridge moves just a little bit in the mag it can damage the cartridge piercing tube in the mag. I use a drop of RWS Cylinder oil on each cartridge. It’s also hard to load BBs and doing so you have to use your nail to push the spring down.
If the fixed these issue with the mag this would easily be a great BB Pistol. Also the mags are a bit spendy.

I really like this gun for training at a low cost. I can also shoot in indoors in my shop without concern of perforating the building with bullet holes. while the blowback feature is very realistic, I need to replace the CO2 cartridge every 45 shots or so. Not a big deal really but it is a thing. Suggestions for the manufacture of the magazine. The serrated button is flush with the case of the magazine which makes it difficult to hold it open to insert the BB’s. Either make a notch to latch the button or extent the button 15/1000 so that you can hold it down while you load it.

Great bb gun. Magazine is a little difficult to load for my 10 y.o. son. Nice replica blowback bb pistol for target shooting.
UPDATE. After 2 months of light use I had an issue with it firing properly. Most likely user error. I contacted UMAREX USA directly through their website and they had me send the gun to them. A week later I got the gun back in perfect working order. Great warranty service.
