Built for personal and home protection, the new S&W M&P9 Shield EZ pistol is the latest addition to the M&P M2.0™ family and features an 8+1 round capacity and a 3.675” barrel chambered in 9mm.
The M&P9 Shield EZ pistol ships with two 8 round magazines that feature a load assist tab for quick, easy loading, as well as a picatinny-style equipment rail to accommodate accessories. The pistol also features an optimal M&P pistol 18-degree grip angle for a natural point of aim, white-dot front and adjustable white-dot rear sights, and a light, crisp trigger.

TACTILE LOADED CHAMBER INDICATOR

• • The M&P® 9 SHIELDTM EZ® pistols come with a tactile loaded chamber indicator. This indicator can be observed by looking at the top of the slide, noting a lever that may be raised above the flat surface.

• • If this lever is visible and can be felt above the surface of the slide, a round is in the firearm’s chamber.

• • If no round is in the chamber, you will not be able to feel and see the lever raised above the flat surface of the slide top.

MANUAL THUMB SAFETY LEVER

• • This feature prevents the pistol from firing when the manual thumb safety lever is fully up in the SAFE position.

• • Push the thumb safety lever fully down to put it in the “FIRE” position. This will allow the pistol to be fired when the grip safety is then firmly depressed by gripping with the firing hand and pulling the trigger rear- ward.

• • The magazine can be removed and installed in the pistol regardless of the position of the safety lever.

• • The slide can be manipulated to load (or unload) the chamber regardless of the position of the manual thumb safety lever.

• • The slide can also be removed from the frame and re-installed onto the frame regardless of the position of the manual thumb safety lever.

• • The trigger of the M&P® 9 SHIELDTM EZ® with a manual thumb safety can still be depressed (without firing the pistol) when the manual thumb safety lever is in the SAFE position.

• • Do not load the pistol until you are ready to use it. Keep your finger off the trigger and outside the trigger guard until you are ready to fire.
