The new Kalashnikov USA KALI 9 is our American made, California Compliant 9mm semi-automatic rifle based on the Vityaz submachine gun which has proven very popular with Russian law enforcement and specialized military units. The KALI 9 version features a hinged top cover with Picatinny rail, a simulated suppressor, 16.33” barrel, fixed triangular buttstock and ships with 10 round Kalashnikov USA magazines. This Kalashnikov USA rifle also incorporates a compliant fin grip along with a thumb rest for increased comfort. The KALI 9’s steel lined polymer magazines feature a double-column, double-feed design inspired by the battle proven magazines used in the PPS-43 submachine gun.
The Kalashnikov USA KALI 9 features a closed bolt blowback design that incorporates an out-of-battery safety mechanism so the gun cannot fire unless the bolt is fully closed. The KALI 9’s operating mechanism for the low recoiling 9mm pistol cartridge dispenses with the gas system required for the 7.62 and 5.45 millimeter cartridges used in the AK-47, AKM and AK-74 rifles. However, the KALI 9 still maintains the high degree of reliability that have made the Kalashnikov series of firearms the most prolific, longest lasting guns the world has ever seen. Every Kalashnikov USA KALI 9 is proof tested in our indoor range to ensure adequate safety and functioning before leaving the factory.
